My friend Shelley sells cute accessories, and today she’s got a deal for gloves on Very Jane!  I took these pics for her last week…so if you want some fun winter gloves, head on over and grab ‘em! I love that they are finger-less, with a thumb hole.

Now onto Stitch Fix, do you remember when I shared my first Stitch Fix post???

I loved hearing all your votes in the comments, my fave was the green shirt!  Now, onto my second box. This one seems more eclectic than the solids before. Not sure what to think, and I’d love another vote! I’m pretty sure I’m keeping the striped skirt and necklace. When I refer people, I get credit, and I earned enough credit to cover the cost of a few items. So, it makes it worthwhile to try it out.

In this box, I got:

1. Black and white striped skirt, I love stripes, it’s a great length, very versatile, cute waistline, too. (Love it, plan to keep it) $40

2. Patterned dress. Love the style, not a fan of the pattern. I know the Santa Fe print is in style, but it’s not my style. Though I did think twice once I saw it in a picture vs. just on my bed. Thoughts on this one? $50

3. Pretty necklace. It’s big and bold, but I like that, and it’s different, so thinking I’ll keep it. $40

4. Navy shirt. A touch baggy, I like the style, but don’t like the deep “V” neck. $50

5. I also got a mint polka dot shirt which I really like, but I already have one very similar! See it here.

All in all, the items are more money than I normally spend, but with the credit I have from referrals, I can choose a few and I’m covered.

Try it out!  It’s fun to see what someone else picks out for you! Click on the picture below to get started on your own.

What I Wore to Walt Disney World

{If you are new to my blog, I like to share on SOME Wednesdays what I wore in the past week, joining up with The Pleated Poppy’s fashion link party, and to challenge myself to be creative with my style. To see my past What I Wore Wednesdays posts head on over HERE.}

For those of you not following my facebook or instragram feeds, our family spent spring break last week in Walt Disney World. I’ve declared next week DISNEY WEEK on my blog, so tune in on Monday for trip details. Today, I’ll share what I wore…since I haven’t posted one of these in a LONG time!

When going on a trip, it is my natural/knee jerk desire to want to go shopping just before, and get new clothes.  Why is this? I have so many great clothes that I can bring along, why do I need new? I also knew I’d be walking a lot and needed comfort…I love my flip flops, but I knew they wouldn’t cut it with my arches for a week on the pavement. I also could not tolerate the idea of my clunky/ugly/best-for-my-feet running shoes either. Uh-oh…no can do. I have to draw the line somewhere. I was happy to see that Old Navy was selling some cute and colorful “tenny runners” that had a decent sole on them. The neon orange just spoke to me, even though not one month ago I swore I wouldn’t cave into the neon trend.

I wasn’t quite sure what the Florida weather would hold for me in March, but I thought I was safe with light weight skinny jeans and a flowy dress. It shouldn’t be THAT hot yet. Turns out, it was SUPER chilly most mornings, and I wore my favorite hot pink hoody til noon, then the weather was PERFECTION and my jeans worked out fabulously.

The first day, I wore my most comfy hot pink jeans and a striped blue/gray top. Snagged from Old Navy clearance…this is the only pic I have of me that day. Also got the navy shoes there.

The next day I wore a dress, and it actually RAINED that day!  I started out wearing my denim skinnies underneath, only to be warm because the chilly rain was not ideal. I will not show my face in this picture, as I am not  proud of this addition to my ensemble.

We were all wet dogs, but the sun came out in the afternoon and I was able to yank those pants right off. Can you tell what park we went to this day?!?

Above dress from Old Navy, sweater from a retailer online, Our Little Store Boutique via Very Jane. I also got this purple top (below) at Old Navy in clearance recently…hubby took this with his phone and got my new FOTOstrap in the shot. Pink walking shoes are 2 years ago from Old Navy (also have them in purple that I wore to Disneyland back then). Shades from target.

The neon orange was probably my fave new outfit…the shoes and the tank were new from Old Navy, and I got the necklace a while ago from Forever 21 (I think). Love my fun camera necklace. I paired the neon orange with mint green, while I paired my daughter’s neon orange skirt with purple, and it just so happened that my son wore his favorite neon orange shirt this day, so we took a neon orange dance picture (or 5). I love that he’ll dance with me in public;)

Lastly, we’ve got the Mickey shirt my mom made our crew with her cricut machine cut out and an iron on. I wore my comfy yoga pants this day. disney joy

Maxi dress with sleeves

I have been obsessed with maxi dress for the past 5 years. When I first saw them, I fell in love. When I became pregnant with my youngest, I realized quickly it was the. greatest. pregnancy ensemble.  No waistline, covered my super vein-y legs, breezy, and fashionable to boot. The only problem is that they were all spaghetti straps, and I don’t prefer that type of dress.  So I’d wear a shirt under or a cardigan over and I was good. When I nursed my baby, I could continue wearing them, and that little strap/low neckline came in handy–even with the shirt underneath. When I lost the baby weight, I could still wear those same dresses because really–it didn’t matter! In the past 5 years, I’ve collected at least 10 of the beloved maxi dress, and this year grabbed a few maxi skirts. So imagine my sheer delight when I saw a few weeks ago on maxi dresses with sleeves! I love the length of the sleeve, too, a half sleeve.  I wasn’t quite sure of the color or the size, so I ordered a dark blue in 2 sizes and black in 2 sizes (free shipping with over $50 order and easy return if it doesn’t work out). I ended up prefering the shade of the dark blue (I have to force myself to wear black though it is classy and I love it too…I have a shorter black dress I love) and returned the other three.

The necklace and earrings are a few years ago from New York & Company. The hair? A friend at church asked me how I did it, and I really have no idea! It was a bad hair day, so I tried for an updo that wasn’t working, then went for a low ponytail, wrapped my long hair around the band, then left the rest down as a very loose bun. Got it? How many maxi dresses do you have?

Glimpse into my closet~What I wore Wednesday

I skipped this segment last week…did you notice? Sometimes I wear the same outfit 3 times in a week, and other days I’m in my workout clothes or jammies. I also don’t want to necesssarily commit to pictures of me in my clothes EVERY Wednesday, so we’ll just see. With school starting, I had a lot of activites going on, that forced me to get dressed!

Above: Old Navy shirt, JCP jeans, Payless navy flats  A good shot of my hair below, though an awkward stance…I also like the looking down at my shoes angle.

Below: simple black and cream with a touch of hot pink earrings/toe nail polish

Black and white with a touch of hot pink on my toes and earrings.

Below: I got this orange dress at Old Navy at the beginning of the summer, and it got forgotton. I snapped on a whippycake clip, and some yellow earrings and flops and felt all summery like  my summer mantel.

Below is the outfit I wore 3 times last week.  Maybe I slept in it, too. I actually saw this paired together in someone else’s WIWW post a while back and thought, “I have that shirt AND that skirt (from Old Navy) that looks great together!” And it’s as comfy as jammies, so gets worn a lot!

I got this orange and pink floral skirt a good 8 years ago and Wal-Mart. I generally bust it out once every summer, often with a hot pink top, but I wanted to tone it down with white shirt and  pink necklace. Wearing my Alaska JCP wedges.

I got this new silky-like scalloped bottom shirt at Old  Navy and kinda love it. I like that baggy top/skinny jeans look these days.
