Valentine’s Day Lunch Jokes

Hooray for Valentine’s Day!  I’ve got some Valentine’s Day Lunch Jokes that your kids are sure to enjoy in the two weeks leading up to the holiday of LOVE!  If you start on Feb. 1st  and exclude the weekend, the last one will be given on Valentine’s day!  So print these out and get them ready.  This is a 3 page PDF document, but when you print, just print the first page first, then flip your paper to line up so the answers will be on the back of the correct note. There is also a third blank page with the border designs in case you want to leave a special note at home, or in the kids lunches. These jokes also make great Valentine’s to classmates!

Download the files by clicking HERE, or on the jokes above.

Thanks again SO much for my friend Aimee at Sprik Space for the adorable design.  She is the best!  Have you seen all of her free printable designs? She actually has 15 free Valentine’s printables right here.  She is very talented.

My kids have had these jokes for the third year in a row, and they still love them, and so do their friends!!

See lots of other brain teasers and holiday lunch jokes here.

Fudge Lover’s Strawberry Truffle Cake~The perfect Valentine’s Treat!

*This is a re-post from last year, but I wanted to share a yummy Valentine’s treat in case you missed it!*
Most of this is “on hand” ingredients. Devils food cake mix and 2 bags of semi sweet chips/baking chocolate are the only items you may not have. I have made this every year for Valentine’s Day for the past 5 years or so. Just YUM! I noticed it at the check out stand in a little Betty Crocker cookbook (full recipe at the end of this post). It’s really easy, you just have to plan ahead to let it cool and chill at 2 diff. stages.

First you bake the cake mix just like it says on the box and let it cool completely (ummm, made a big hole when I was testing the rediness).

Then you make the ganache with the whipping cream and semi sweet chocolate (you WILL sound extra fancy when you tell people you made ganache–say it ga-na-shh).

then cut up the cake….

My 4 kiddos

We did a very mini Valentines shoot the other day for my post on The Idea Room.  My oldest daughter is always a very willing participant (LOVE her dance moves) but my boys are another story.  They are over all my tricks to get them to smile…I have to be more creative.  My baby was stuck on a stool in the kitchen, love her smile here.  I love them and I love to capture them when they let me.  e took enough to fill a BINGO card.  Go check it out over there.

I am working on a post for step by step instructions on the yummiest and prettiest Valentine’s cake. Simple and basic ingredients include Devils food cake mix, 2 bags semi sweet choco chips, whipping cream, white choco chips and fresh strawberries. Everything else you’ll have on hand (eggs, oil, butter). Check back tomorrow for this recipe.
