Christmas Holiday Fashion: Red Lipstick and Ankle Boots

I am a big believer in wearing red and green to Christmas gatherings. It’s just against my own personal moral code  not to. I’ve thrown in black, gold, or silver with just a touch of red or green sometimes, but you will never see me wear teal, orange, pink, or even turquoise to a Christmas event–even though I love those colors. I am LOVING the trend of hot pink and turquoise at Christmas, I even got those colors to decorate the tree in my girls room. But I just can’t do it in my holiday dress or in my main Christmas decor in my home.

Today I’m sharing a little “round up” if you will of the Christmas holiday fashion I’ve shared in the past two years, with links to the full posts.

But first, what I wore the other day, coordinating with my daughters. Starting with the red lipstick–if nothing else, try a little red lipstick at Christmas time. Add it to all black and you’re festive!!… Continue Reading

Penelope’s Eclectic Closet: Handmade Girls Clothing

I’m so excited to share a fun photo shoot with my girls using designs from Penelope’s Eclectic Closet!   I was sent a few items to review, that I’m happy to share about. My girls love dressing up all fancy, and I love unique handmade pieces. First up is my younger daughter wearing the adorable Somersault Dress with the white ruffle sleeve 3/4 top. She loved prancing around in the field and twirling in it. Kids Clothing Penelope's Eclectic Closet

Then my older daughter wore an adorable Montser-licous Halloween skirt which I absolutely LOVE (I love halloween everything). The design, the fabric, the last trim, I just loved!

We also got an Eco Friendly doll, and this is what Ashley, the designer, told me about the dolls, “The doll is something I’m making to keep my scraps out of landfills. They are free with a purchase of $100 or more to the shop.”

Your Own Personal Stylist~Stitch Fix: What I Wore

I haven’t shared my WHAT I WORE posts for a while. During the summer it’s swimsuits and PJ’s at home…I hardly even put make up on except for church on Sundays. But I’ve got a little survey this week, I need some help deciding on a few things…

Have you heard of Stitch Fix yet? I’d heard about it from a few friends, and decided to try it out for myself. It’s an online personal stylist for clothing and accessories. I filled out an extensive form about the type of clothing I like, colors, etc. and they got to work to create a “fix” for me. I got it in the mail yesterday and I’d love your opinions! I kindof like someone else picking it out for me!  I was sent 4 tops and a pair of earrings. Below are the tops and I need help deciding what to keep! I’ve really tried not to be a “shopaholic” lately, so don’t want to keep it all (even though I’d get a discount if I decided to keep them all). So tell me, which top/outfit is your favorite on me?

My Stitch FIx

1. Blue 2. Black 3. Pink 4. Green

All the rest of the stuff I had in my closet. I liked that attached to each article of clothing, they shared a suggestion tag for helping me decide what to wear it with. It gave me the idea to wear the striped skirt with the pink cardigan.

Here are the earrings, which I ADORE!

If you’d like to see how you’d be styled, head on over to Stitch Fix and see for yourself.

I love how easy it is to return if it isn’t quite your style. They send you a self addressed and pre paid envelope to stick in the items you don’t want and slip it in your mailbox!

It’s simple and fun! Click on the image below or HERE to check it out!
