Share the Joy with World Market

I’m so excited to SHARE THE JOY with World Market again this year. I got to participate in the campaign last year, too, and I truly felt joy giving back to the children’s wing at our local hospital. This year, I took my Boy Scouts to help me say thank you to our community helpers–the local fire station. We put together a gift basket full of treats and little games they can play, while hanging out at the fire station in the slow hours.

Share the Joy

I think we all know World Market has a variety of unique treats, but I also love their old fashioned toy section, too. We thought about adult men might enjoy while shopping, and found some fun mind twisters and sudoko cube, mini walkie talkies, jaw harp, and a desktop ping pong set, too.

Thank you firefighters

We also got a mini Christmas tree and found a firefighter Santa ornament at World Market, too! Some of the treats included Bacon Maple Jerky, tabasco spicy chocolate, Tobelerone bar, peppermint million dollar bar, Ghirardelli chocolate assortment, milk chocolate million dollar bar,  don’t eat the yellow snow candy, and gingerbread pancake mix.

I’m going to have to go back to grab a bunch of these for stocking stuffers, because I know my kids will get good laughs out of these–especially the million dollar chocolate bars!  Along with some hot chocolate, I got a fun elephant and monkey mug they can keep on hand in the station.

I was very excited to find the Holiday Gift Basket section, and foun this red gift basket kit, because I could stuff everything in the basket, and it also included the giant bag that was the perfect size, as well as paper stuffing to go on the bottom and a gift tag–perfection!  If you don’t have a store front near you, World Market offers free shipping over $150, and when shopping for many family members for Christmas, that’s a great deal!

My boys were a little timid to step out of their comfort zone to deliver the basket, but it was good for them (I think), and in the end, a great experience. The kind firefighter even gave us a tour of the truck and all it’s compartments and talked to us for a good 20 minutes all about his job. The kids thought that was pretty cool, and I loved the educational aspect as well.
