Our Fathers Day

Nothing too fancy….breakfast in bed, hand written cards, the simple things I believe are the sweetest.  I had the kids help me make my hubbys favorite meal:  breakfast burritos.

They were excited to take it to him in bed (on the cookie sheet cooling rack) like they did for me on Mothers Day.

Too many cute moments around the breakfast table not to share.  I love my boys showing him the drawings, tugging at their lip in anticipation, the big smiles, high five baby, hugs, minute to win it hanger game, and the food I slaved over (hubby usually cooks on Sundays).

I have saved so many yummy looking food items on my pinterest page, I asked my hubby to view them and pick a dinner and dessert.  For our main dish, he chose the  Honey Sesame Chicken dinner from My Kitchen Snippets and the Cookie Dough Cheesecake bars  found from My baking Addiction. They were both pretty delicious!

I am grateful for the man that is the father to my kids.  Seriously, my children are so lucky.  I’m often in awe of how much fun he has as a dad playing.  I try not to let it get me down (that I don’t do it as well), but really, I am just grateful. And to my dad….I gave him a tribute on his birthday last month here.
