Feeling the L*O*V*E

Yay, it is so fun to hear feedback!  Thanks to those who commented on your progress!  Thanks also to those who have grabbed my button to post on your blog or have shared my book/link on facebook.  I am really just selling these little books by word of mouth, so the more you share, the more exposure is out there.  It just makes me so happy to hear that others are feeling more confident in their abilities to take a great picture!

I am headed out on a little trip next week and I will come home with LOTS and LOTS of pictures to share.  In the meantime, I have a much needed break, but do have something up my sleeve to create this weekend.  Here are the lovely flowers my hubby gave me for Valentine’s Day.

 {vase from Jerusalem 12 years ago}

You see the yellow one?  Well, he wanted to buy a single yellow tulip, but they didn’t have them.  So he MADE one out of paper.  Isn’t that sweet?  He was channeling this picture that literally hung on a poster in my room as a teenager.

  I love the message it sends:  Be your own kind of beautiful.

Another love I got in the mail. My dear friend Emily {I get to photograph her fam on my trip next week) did me a HUGE favor and slurped my family blog/journal into these beauties.

My entire life I have been an avid journal keeper.  In  high school, I started to scrapbook, but when my kids came along…somewhere it became too much.  In 2006 I started our family blog and contribute to it regularly.  This is now my journal and scrapbook. I have made a few other books, but I am SO relieved to have these printed!  She used Blog2Print to slurp. She said there was 5,000 pictures included–wowzers!

  It’s not just for me.  It’s for them.

  1. I have one year of my blog THIS CLOSE to being ready to print (on Blurb). I’m so excited! Especially since our ex. hard drive crashed and many of those pictures I don’t have anymore (except on my blog!)

    Beautiful flowers! Have a fun trip!
